Student Services

Because Kuper Academy is a community, we take a holistic approach when it comes to service delivery. Students have an array of services to draw from during their days at Kuper, and we believe that by providing the structure and the tools to students, we are enabling them to learn and to grow in a variety of ways.

Cafeteria & Lunches

In the ELP and the elementary schools, students have the option to register for the hot lunch every day and/or they can choose to bring their own lunch and join the Kuper milk/juice program.

In the high school, students may bring their lunches, use the cafeteria microwaves, or puchase a hot or cold lunch from the cafeteria. Students are not permitted to leave campus during lunch hours and they may not order food from outside the school.

Student Counselling & Academic Advising

Should individual students need the services of a counsellor for any reason, they may contact the Counselling Office. Drop-in times to see the school counsellor during recess, lunch, and other times are posted.

Daycare & Homework Room

Supervised after school daycare services for Kindergarten to grade two operate in the ELP (Early Learning Pavilion) from 3:00-6:00 P.M. each weekday. A daycare/homework room for students in grades three to six operates in the elementary building from 3:00-6:00 P.M. each weekday.

Students are automatically placed in daycare if they are not picked up within ten minutes of their designated dismissal time. Children must be under the supervision of a responsible adult at all times and are not permitted to wait in the school office after hours. Parents sign students out of daycare each day indicating the time that their child was picked up.

Both the high school and elementary school libraries are headed by professionals. Parents may volunteer to assist on a regular basis. Students sign out books and are responsible for returning them on the appropriate date.
